There is no dedicated cold plunge facility in Sale itself. RE:UP in Broadheath, Altrincham is the nearest option — a straight drive of around 10 minutes via the A56. Many Sale clients visit before or after work, using the 7am opening to fit a session into a morning routine before commuting.
The facility also has two saunas, so a full contrast therapy session — alternating between sauna and ice bath — is possible within 90 minutes.

Both cold plunge baths at RE:UP are maintained at 4–7°C using chiller systems. At these temperatures, meaningful vasoconstriction and norepinephrine release occur within 60–90 seconds. Experienced users typically stay 2–4 minutes. Beginners are advised to start with 60 seconds and build over several sessions. RE:UP staff are on site to advise on first visits.
